Frequently Asked Questions
What are cake balls?
Cake balls are delicious bite-sized pieces of cake that are blended with icing, shaped to form a ball and then dipped in a rich and creamy chocolate coating.
What size are the cake balls?
Our cake balls are about 1.25-inches round, approximately the size of a golf ball. We have found this to be the perfect size to balance the ratio of cake to icing to chocolate coating. When serving at a party, we say that 2 to 3 balls per person are sufficient.
Are cake balls fully cooked?
Yes. The cake in our cake balls is fully baked. The cake is then blended with icing, which creates a doughy consistency. This is what makes the cake balls super moist and delicious!
How do I store cake balls?
When your cake balls arrive, store them in the refrigerator. It’s important to refrigerate them upon arrival so they stay fresh. Cake balls are best served slightly chilled. If they arrive to you at room temperature, it’s okay. Just pop them in the fridge upon arrival.
How long can I store cake balls?
Cake balls can be stored for up to two weeks in the refrigerator. If you have that much will power. They can also be frozen in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
Where are the cake balls made?
Our delicious cake balls are made at our production facility in Dallas, Texas. Each cake ball is lovingly made by hand over a 2-day process. Our production facility is located at 10230 E. Northwest Highway on the Southeast corner of Northwest Highway and Easton.
How much is shipping and handling?
Our shipping rates depend on the weight of the package and also the shipping address. To determine your pricing, please select your package on the Menu & Order page. This will take you to our shopping cart where you can click on Check-Out. Then, enter your shipping address and select your shipping method from the drop down menu. You will be able to see the shipping cost without inputting your credit card information.
How long does Ground shipping take?
Ground shipping through UPS does not have a guaranteed delivery date, like UPS Next Day or 2-Day Air. But, typically, you can determine the number of days by reviewing this map. Please note, if you select Ground shipping, we will only ship on Monday or Tuesday so that our perishable cake balls won't sit in a UPS shipping hub over the weekend.
What if I need to order multiple packages to be shipped to several different addresses?
Currently, on our shopping cart, you have to do a separate order for each package you need to ship. If you have multiple packages to send, you can email us your order and attach an excel document listing all of your shipping contacts, and we can take care of the rest. Please email us at info@cakeballs.com for more information.
What if I’m having trouble getting my online order to go through?
Please make sure that you are putting the zip code on the billing address where your credit card bill is received. The incorrect zip code is the reason for failure nine times out of ten. If your order still will not go through after editing the zip code, please call us at 214-559-5788.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours of operation (Central) are:

Sunday and Monday: Closed (we do ship on Mondays)
We are also available by appointment during non-business hours.
