What are cake balls?
Cake balls are delicious bite-sized pieces of cake that are blended with icing, shaped to form a ball and then dipped in a rich and creamy chocolate coating.

What size are the cake balls?
Our cake balls are about 1.25-inches round, approximately the size of a golf ball. We have found this to be the perfect size to balance the ratio of cake to icing to chocolate coating. When serving at a party, we say that about 2 per person are sufficient.

Are cake balls fully cooked?
Yes. The cake in our cake balls is fully baked. The cake is then blended with icing, which creates a doughy consistency. This is what makes the cake balls super moist and delicious!

How do I store cake balls?
When your cake balls arrive, store them in the refrigerator. It's important to refrigerate them upon arrival so they stay fresh. Cake balls are best served slightly chilled. If they arrive to you at room temperature, it's okay. Just pop them in the fridge upon arrival.

How long can I store cake balls?
Cake balls can be stored for up to 4 weeks in the refrigerator. If you have that much will power. They can also be frozen in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 5 months.

Where are the cake balls made?
Our delicious cake balls are made at our production facility in Dallas, Texas. Each cake ball is lovingly made by hand over a 2-day process. Our production facility is located at 10230 E. Northwest Highway on the Southeast corner of Northwest Highway and Easton.

Do you offer local delivery in Dallas?
Yes! We now offer local delivery in the Dallas area. On occasion, we can offer same-day delivery, but not always. Sometimes, we will need 24 hours notice. Please email us at info@cakeballs.com to place an order during regular business hours, and we'll let you know if we can accomodate. Since local delivery is a hand delivery, we do deliver in our bakery boxes where the cake balls are $2 each. Delivery prices are typically $25 within the "loop" and $35 outside of Dallas "proper". This is a great option for company meetings, events, a last-minute birthday wish or an uncontrollable cake ball craving!

How much is shipping and handling?
Our shipping rates depend on the weight of the package and also the shipping address. To determine your pricing, you will need to enter your shipping address and select your shipping method from the drop down menu. You will be able to see the shipping cost without inputting your credit card information.

How long does Ground shipping take?
Ground shipping through FedEx does not have a guaranteed delivery date, like FedEx Next Day or 2-Day Air. But, typically, you can determine the number of days by reviewing the delivery date calendar during the checkout process. Please note, if you select Ground shipping, we will only ship on Monday or Tuesday during certain parts of the year so that our perishable cake balls won't sit in a FedEx shipping hub over the weekend.

What are your hours of operation?
Our hours of operation (Central Standard Time) are:
Tuesday - Friday: 11am to 5:30pm
Saturday: 11am to 2pm
Sunday and Monday: Closed (we do ship on Mondays)
We are also available by appointment during non-business hours at 214-559-5788 or you may contact us.

Where can I get more infomation for public relations?
Please visit our press page to see some of the recent press we have received. You can also email us at info@cakeballs.com, and we'll be happy to answer any questions or point you in the right direction.

How do I place a wholesale order for my store?
Please contact us, and we'll be happy to discuss our wholesale options with you.

Do you do cake balls for weddings?
Yes. We love weddings. We currently offer a 2-piece white box for $4.50 per box. We can also tie the box in a ribbon to match your wedding for an additional .40 per box. Another favor option is our 1-piece cello-bag for $2.85 each. Both options make great favors for your special day. Some other wedding ideas that we've done include cake balls as a groom's cake, in place of a traditional wedding cake or in a dessert buffet. Brides have also passed them on trays with milk or coffee as a late night snack as the reception is winding down. Please contact us to place an order.
